Schwartz gives you a ton of information, Lam is easy but not in tune with the present, Arroyo cuts the fat out and is relevant.

The class is very time consuming. Work on labs throughout the week, don't wait until the day before it is due because you might run into trouble and need to ask the professor to clarify something. Know that this class will take a majority of your time and be prepared.

The problem with the course is the labs and receiving help for them. The TA's are hard to find in the computer lab for office hours if you don't know what they look like. The office hours for my TA was the period before my lab so there was no way his help would matter when preparing for my pre-lab because I would not have the time. Also, his office hours are at the same time as my scheduled lecture. That is really poor planning.

Although I gave the teacher decent marks for what he did this semester, I believe his lack of depth into every subject in this course was to my benefit because it required that I go find the answers myself and I believe that is a very important lesson that Dr. Arroyo purposely taught me.

This class is excellent, the three professors involved have put together an excellent program for introductory students.
